MS Office on the Web

An announcement that Microsoft will shortly be releasing a web version of Office .  Some speculation that the timing is being driven by Google. I'm not sure. But either way Google Apps and the rest of the cloud based office suites will benefit from this. What Microsoft is doing is letting the cat out of the bag - the desktop is dying fast.
