Disney here I come!

As you read this, I'm either on my way, or at the happiest place on earth!
I'm heading to run the Disney Marathon on Sunday!
The whole reason I became a runner.
To earn that Mickey Mouse medal I learned about 6 years & 40 pounds ago while waiting in line for the Haunted Mansion.

This training cycle has not been easy.
I've had 2 longruns end in tears.
I've run more runs than I can count with a nagging right knee pain.
Gone to bed early every saturday night in preparation for Sunday morning longruns.
Limited my booze intake. Attempted to limit my booze intake.
Toned up with TRX.
Made one killer outfit.
Obsessed over Disney weather for the 2nd year in a row after the freezing cold of 2010.
Bought one new pair of CEP compression socks.
Discovered a love of whey protein, and collagen supplements.
Ran outside in the coldest temps I have ever tackled before.
Ran my longest run (18.5 miles) ever.
Become good friends with my massage therapist every 2 weeks.
Suffered through one bought of Vertigo.
Ran a 5K, a 4.5 miler, and 2 half marathons.
Stayed about the same weight... booo!

It hasn't been my most successful training cycle, but not my worst. I'm looking forward to getting this race taken care of! Originally, my goal was a 11:13 pace with a projected finish of 4:52ish. However, knowing that my knee has been uncooperative, and I didn't make it through that 20 miler, I'm not counting on it. Instead, my goals are....

1. FINISH
no matter what. No matter how much walking, pain, etc. I will FINISH.
2. Under 6 hours
3. Under 5 1/2 hours
4. Hit the original goal.

I'll definitely send updates out on my facebook HERE & I'll try to post here if I can to update my results. Send me some love & wish me luck!
