Michael Moore's Expose of 'Dead Peasant' Insurance Policies
ABC News 'Stunned' To Discover Dead Peasant Insurance . . . Really?
"Michael Moore's Capitalism, A Love Story has revealed a deep dark secret to the intrepid reporters of ABC News - so-called Dead Peasant Insurance, the practice of companies taking out secret life insurance policies on their low-level employees, with the benefits paid out to the company upon the employee's death, even if they no longer work at the company."

Why is it that corporations have the money to pay for stealth, employee, death insurance, but don't have the money to pay for employee, health insurance? In the video ABC News, media celebrities characterize 'dead peasant' insurance as "creepy." And it is. But merely describing dead peasant insurance as creepy sends the wrong message about this obscene practice. The reality is it's a systemic, and 'legal' P R E D A T O R Y practice. It's revealing of the fact that the Elites routinely view people as corporate assets, or things that can be exploited at will for their profit--just like stocks, bonds, derivatives and other Wall Street Ponzi scheme financial instruments of mass destruction. It's dehumanizing. And that hurts--all of us.
"The real issue, which Capitalism fails to mention, is that corporations can use such insurance policies to avoid paying taxes. Whereas interest on money borrowed to pay premiums is tax-deductible, the resulting insurance payouts are tax-exempt. "Dead peasant" insurance is not a new and sinister corporate scheme to profit from death, but an old and sinister corporate scheme to drain the public treasury."

Although Erin raises a significant issue, Health Maven considers this to be the REAL issue:
How much money has actually been made by corporations from current and former low-level employees who died because they couldn't afford health Insurance? Of course, we will never know.
Health Maven does not favor Big Pharma, forced, disease management 'health' insurance. However, something has to be done about the absence of REAL and AFFORDABLE health care options in America.

France's Model Healthcare System
U.S. Spends Most on Health, But France No. 1 in Treatment
Myth: The U.S. has the best health care system in the world.
"Seven years ago, the World Health Organization made the first major effort to rank the health systems of 191 nations. France and Italy took the top two spots; the United States was a dismal 37th. More recently, the highly regarded Commonwealth Fund has pioneered in comparing the United States with other advanced nations through surveys of patients and doctors and analysis of other data. Its latest report, issued in May, ranked the United States last or next-to-last compared with five other nations — Australia, Canada, Germany, New Zealand and the United Kingdom — on most measures of performance, including quality of care and access to it. Other comparative studies also put the United States in a relatively bad light."

An American Holocaust
Did you know 44,789 U.S. residents die every year because they have no health insurance?"I Would Like To Apologize To The Dead"
By Congressman Alan Grayson
"Last night, I gave a speech and I’m not going to recount everything I said but after that speech, several republicans asked me to apologize. I would like to apologize.
I would like to apologize and here's why. according to this study, health insurance and mortality in adults which was published two weeks, 44,000 Americans die every year because they have no health insurance. 44,789 Americans die every year according to the Harvard study. and you can see it by going to our website at grayson.house.gov. that is 10 times more than the number of Americans who have died in Iraq and who died in 9/11. but that was just once. this is every single year. that's right. every single year.
Take a look at this. read it and weep. and I mean that, read it and weep, because of all these Americans who are dying because they don't have health insurance. Now, I think we should do something about that and the democratic health care plan does do something about that. It makes health care affordable for those who can't afford insurance and it safes these peoples' lives.
Let's remember we should care about people even after they're born. I call upon the democratic members of the house, I call upon the republican members of the house, I call upon all of us to do our jobs for the sake of America, for the sake of those dying people and their families.
I apologize to the dead and their families that we haven't voted sooner to end this holocaust in America. I yield the rest of my time."
