Getting Sick in the 21st Century

'Antibiotic-resistant bacteria can be found in all North Americanmajor intensive care units. This is a no-win situation for the doctor,the patient, and the health care system. If you have a chronic condition,these killer bugs may play the decisive role in whether or not you recover.

'Bugs go round the world today riding on jumbo jets and they dare to mutate as they do. Today, in the world we live in, we hear on TV or read the papers about the illnesses or viruses we are about to catch – its spoon fed into the masses and accepted as fact. Can we trust the medical establishment and health officials from the CDC whose conflict of interests is apparent through deep and intimate ties with the pharmaceutical industry? Unfortunately we cannot. Are our children safe in hospitals today? Definitely not with all the antibiotic resistant super strains running loose.

'Runny nose, fever, cough, even pneumonia — the symptoms sound like swine flu but children hospitalized at one U.S. hospital in fact had a rhinovirus, better known as a common cold virus, doctors are telling us. That is what they are telling themselves and the rest of us but what is it that is really going on that is driving these kids to hospitals? Today, when even a cold will land kids in the hospital, is it really the cold virus itself that is so threatening or is something else at work? For sure the CDC will not comment on this question.'
