2. Coffee extras. Do you start your morning with a Carmel pie? No. So getting extra flavors, sugars or creams added can equal a fattening dessert just as bad. If you can't drink your coffee black add skim milk to it and leave it at that.
3. Processed or deli meats. You think this is good protein but what you don't know is that you are consuming tons of extra chemicals like nitrates, preservatives, sugar and sodium. I try to make extra chicken or turkey to throw on a sandwich or in a wrap. Plus it's way cheaper to do that anyways.
4. Fruit juice. You maybe think this is a healthier option but you might as well put a spoon in a bag full of sugar and take that instead. You may think this is a healthy way to start your morning but it sends your blood sugar soaring! Drink a glass of water and have a piece of fruit instead.
5. Cereals. This can become your worst enemy with the extra sugars added. When looking for a good cereal look for other kinds of sugar on the nutrient label: glucose, corn syrup, fruoctose, dextrose, sucrose, maltose, molasses, hobey, artificial sweeteners and maple syrup. Switch to kashi, shredded wheat, muesli, Ezekiel, weetabix or all bran.
