So school finished, everyone's pumped, legal and heading off to schoolies!
Except my best friend and I, who are underage and broke.
But we didn't let that get us down - we took the opportunity (her parents going away for a week for their anniversary) to occupy her empty house and watch movies to our hearts content :)
Being, well...me, I packed all my own food.
Rather than a regular WIAW, I thought I would do 'What I ate while I wasn't at home' to give you guys some ideas for meal prepping and such.
Uncooked oats/oat bran/chia/spices weighed and ziplocked, frozen portions of meat, containers of steamed veggies, containers of yoghurt and more ziplocks full of whey, casein, nuts, cacao nibs and another container of peanut flour. Not to mention a selection of fruit of snack sized protein bars ;)
Meals were kept pretty simple. Get ready for picture overload:
I arrived late afternoon Monday - dinner was chicken breast, sprouts and carrot
Last meal of the night was Cookies'n'Creme casein/yoghurt/almond milk with cashews and cacao nibs
Breaky the next day was apple and chia oatmeal
Mixed steamed veg and tuna for lunch
Green smoothie in the arvo! Pear, spinach, vanilla whey and chia seeds
Spicy grilled chicken and steamed greens for dinner
Choc PB casein/yoghurt/almond milk with hazelnuts, cacao nibs and peanut flour butter
Breakfast this morning was raspberry and chia oatmeal - so sososooooosofeoianwoefnw good.
Tuna and steamed veg as per the previous day
Another greenie smoothie in the arvo - strawbs, spinach, vanilla whey and chia seeds
And back at home. Spicy grilled basa with garden salad - Its a hot night so I only wanted something light. I'm never hungry when its hot, so inconvenient :/
Still to go today is my last meal. Its only 6.56pm and I'm already craving it! Hahaha typical ;)
These few days showed me the importance of meal prep in clean eating - it would be impossible without it! Hope you've all had a splendid week so far :)
