Those Who Never-Smoked Stricken by COPD More than Smokers

 Chemtrails and Chronic Lung Disease

'City-based Chest Research Foundation (CRF) has, in its latest study, proved that chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), known as the disease of smokers, affects mostly ‘never-smokers’. This study was released on the occasion of World COPD Day, which will be observed on Wednesday.

The two-year study was conducted in collaboration with KEM Hospital and the Imperial College, London, in 22 villages of Pune district. It was spearheaded by Dr Sundeep Salvi from CRF, Dr Sanjay Juvekar from KEM Hospital and Dr Peter Barnes from the UK'.

Vitamin D Deficiency Alters Lung Growth and Decreases Lung Function

 

'Previously linked to the severity of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in humans, vitamin D deficiency has now been shown to alter lung structure and function in young mice. The new study, conducted by researchers in Australia, offers the first concrete evidence linking vitamin D deficiency with deficits in lung function and altered lung structure.


The findings were published online ahead of the print edition of the American Thoracic Society's American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.'
