Childhood Vaccines Cause Behavioural Changes and Brain Damage

A recent study showed that childhood vaccines caused brain damage in test Macaque monkeys.

The 2008 study found that monkeys injected with 1990s childhood vaccines (adjusted for body weight) developed neurological abnormalities and behaviours similar to autism.

Monkeys given normal saline (salt water) injections did not.

The vaccinated monkeys had significant deficits in survival reflexes, recognition of colour, and the ability to learn compared to the unvaccinated group.

The vaccinated monkeys were also more likely to display dysfunctional social and non-social behaviours.

These abnormalities were observed both before and after the MMR vaccine.

The authors conclude that the study raises important safety issues regarding vaccines.

Macaque monkeys are commonly used to test the safety of individual vaccines but the combined effects of childhood vaccines had not previously been studied.
