THE REAL SWINE FLU

by JON RAPPOPORT

As I’ve been saying for years now, each new phony pandemic softens up populations for “the next one.”

People become accustomed, for example, to the laying on of quarantines. It isn’t so much about the victims; it’s about the global press coverage, conditioning us to the practice of isolating so-called “carriers” of the disease.

Let me cite a sprinkling of specifics, in this current Swine Flu “crisis.” Remember, each event was marked by some degree of publicity.

April 5, 2009. South Korea, Egypt, and Japan quarantined student dorms.

April 25, 2009. The Henshaw family in Texas was held indoors, under what was called an “indefinite” quarantine.

April 28, 2009. The US Dept. of Homeland Security set guidelines for possible quarantines in America.

April 29, 2009. Thirty Marines at the 29 Palms base were isolated.

April 29, 2009. Cuba and Argentina cancelled all flights to and from Mexico for 48 hours.

April 29, 2009. The US, Japan, Britain, France, Israel, Canada, Argentina, Switzerland, Vietnam, Australia, and other nations issued warnings about traveling to Mexico.

April 29, 2009. Iran warned against travel to Mexico and the US.

May 3, 2009. The government of Mexico shut down non-essential businesses for five days.

April-May, 2009. Tour operators across Europe, particularly Cook, TUI, Thomson, and First Choice, stopped booking flights to Mexico. Royal Caribbean, Carnival, and Norwegian cancelled cruise-ship visits to Mexican ports. The European Centers for Disease Control urged a ban on travel to Mexico.

May-July, 2009. 1800 Americans and other visitors to China were quarantined by the Chinese government.

May 9, 2009. 286 guests were quarantined at a Hong Kong hotel.

June 18, 2009. The Australian lacrosse team was quarantined in a hotel in South Korea.

July 6, 2009. 2100 prisoners at San Quentin were quarantined.

July 21, 2009. There was a partial quarantine of US Navy ships in the USS Boxer Amphibious Group, near Hawaii.

September 16, 2009. A quarantine was initiated at the FCI prison In Memphis, Tennessee.

October 29, 2009. A quarantine was laid on at the Riverside County Jail in Indio, California.

November 12, 2009. In Afghanistan, schools, sports clubs, and wedding halls were closed for three weeks.

December 13, 2009. Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, prisons quarantined inmates.

This is, of course, a partial list. It does not, for example, include the many school closings in the US and other countries. On May 14, three schools in New York City were closed, affecting more than 4000 children. In the month of September, 2009, 187 schools across the US were closed, affecting 80,000 children.

All this—for a so-called epidemic which can advance zero science to justify itself as a significant health threat.

However, something is accomplished. Citizens are now accustomed to quarantines. The idea and the practice seem rather natural.

This is a POLITICAL fact of life.

And when you add in the economic impact to the economies of nations—especially Mexico, where billions of dollars have been lost—the effect of a mild flu season emerges.

Political and economic warfare don’t need a real pandemic; the pretension is sufficient.

After all, SARS, with 262 listed deaths worldwide, cost the economies of Asia an estimated $40 billion, and Canada several more billion.

Does this give you some idea of the real power of the World Health Organization, which announces these “epidemics?”
