New Analysis of Over 300,000 People Shows Magnesium Reduces Colon Cancer Risk

'Increased intakes of magnesium may reduce the risk of developing colon cancer, says a new meta-analysis of data from 338,979 people.

Findings published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition indicated that for every 50 mg per day increase in intake of the mineral, the risk of colon cancer was modestly reduced by 7%.

"On the basis of the findings of this meta-analysis, a higher magnesium intake seems to be associated with a modest reduction in the risk of colorectal cancer, in particular, colon cancer," wrote researchers from Soochow University in China.'

'Pharmaceutical interventions in patients with high blood pressure leads to an inevitable deterioration of health in the long-term. In addition, the side effects associated with blood pressure medications may lead to hospitalization. Supplements of magnesium may offer natural and clinically significant reductions' in blood pressure, says a new meta-analysis from the UK.'

Natural Allopathic Medicine

'When the world economy collapses, modern medicine will suffer a terrible fall. Money will dry up for expensive pharmaceutical medicines that poison more then they cure. Doctors will have to scramble for alternatives if they want to continue to help their patients. But such alternatives have to be based on solid, empirical evidence and research for doctors to pay much attention.

My protocol that I call “Natural Allopathic Medicine” is rational and scientifically-based; pharmaceutical medicine is not. Pharmaceutical terrorism (born with I.G. Farben and the Nazi doctors) is a very real and dangerous thing and so is medical insanity, of which there is no shortage. Through the years I have written about these subjects but this week I was introduced to yet another example of pharmaceutical terrorism and medical insanity coming together.'

Need More Magnesium? 10 Signs to Watch For

 http://www.ancient-minerals.com/images/magnesium/need-more-magnesium.jpg

'Symptoms of poor magnesium intake can include muscle cramps, facial ticks, poor sleep, and chronic pain. It pays to ensure that you get adequate magnesium before signs of deficiency occur.
But how can you know whether you’re getting enough?

According to population studies of average magnesium intake, there’s a good chance that you’re not.

Less than 30% of U.S. adults consume the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) of magnesium. And nearly 20% get only half of the magnesium they need daily to remain healthy.'

Magnificent Magnesium: The Neglected Mineral We Cannot Live Without

 http://www.ancient-minerals.com/images/health/magnesium-rich-foods.jpg

'Magnesium is an alkaline earth metal, the eighth most abundant mineral found in the earth’s crust. Because of its ready solubility in water, magnesium is the third most abundant mineral in sea water, after sodium and chloride. In the human body, magnesium is the eleventh most plentiful element by mass—measuring about two ounces. Most magnesium contained in the body is found in the skeleton and teeth—at least 60 to 65 percent of the total. Nearly the entire remaining amount resides in muscle tissues and cells, while only one percent is contained in our blood.

The importance of magnesium ions for all life itself, as well as for overall vibrant health, is hard to overstate. Magnesium is required to give the “spark of life” to metabolic functions involving the creation of energy and its transport (ATP, the body’s fundamental energy currency), and the creation of proteins—the nucleic acid chemistry of life—RNA and DNA, in all known living organisms.

In plants, a magnesium ion is found at the center of every chlorophyll molecule, vital for the creation of energy from sunlight. Magnesium is an essential element for both animals and plants, involved in literally hundreds of enzymatic reactions affecting virtually all aspects of life.'

Magnesium Shortage?

Book

'Ongoing drug shortages are now being classified as a “national crisis” affecting the care and safety of severely ill patients.[1] For quite some time we have been reading about the shortages of various drugs in the medical industry, and that includes magnesium sulfate.

Another article this week is stating that the shortage persists, and it seems to be affecting all types of drugs, mainly because the pharmaceutical industry is not making acceptable profit from them. The federal government may also be buying up large inventories for their emergency programs and underground bases, who knows?'

Diabetes, Cannabinoid Therapy & Magnesium

 http://www.umsl.edu/~keelr/leaf.gif

'There is nothing more needed in medicine today than a way of treating
diabetes and metabolic syndrome because these syndromes lead directly
to cancer, heart disease and stroke. I wrote New Paradigms in Diabetic Care
to address what doctors and medical officials are loath to face—the
real causes of diabetes. Diabetes is not the hopeless disease that most
doctors would have us believe. There are safe treatments and lifestyle
changes that will prevent diabetes from destroying your life.'

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta declares that
33% of the babies born this year will be diabetic by the year 2050.
Dr. Alan Cantwell

'Dr. Gregory T. Carter, Clinical Associate Professor of Rehabilitation
Medicine, University of Washington School of Medicine says, “Marijuana
is a complex substance containing over 60 different forms of
cannabinoids, the active ingredients. Cannabinoids are now known to have
the capacity for neuromodulation via direct, receptor-based mechanisms
at numerous levels within the nervous system. These have therapeutic
properties that may be applicable to the treatment of neurological
disorders including anti-oxidative, neuroprotective, analgesic and anti-inflammatory actions, immunomodulation, modulation of glial cells and tumor growth regulation.[10] Intracellular changes and altered signaling of the neurons seems to be the principle effects of the cannabinoids in marijuana.'

Minerals: The Unsung Hero Nutrients

http://blog.luckyvitamin.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/dietary-minerals-table2.jpg

'If you take a calcium supplement for your bones and eat a healthy
diet, you may think you’re getting all the minerals you need. But you’d
be wrong!

Now it’s true—calcium is necessary for healthy bones and teeth, blood
clotting, and normal muscle and nerve activity. But it’s only one of
many essential minerals your body needs every day.

Magnesium is another important mineral. It’s involved with more than
325 enzyme reactions in the body. Not only is it necessary for the
normal function of our muscles and nerves, it also works with calcium to
build strong bones.'

Magnesium, Leptin and Obesity

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rjogqEBgB00/TjEEPahiquI/AAAAAAAAAlk/C7GZ9s7LLiM/s320/j0430792.jpg

'One would think that eating too much would result in an abundance of nutritional support for cells. But being overweight and undernourished at the same time is a reality that is just beginning to be understood. It is quite strange to say to people that the more they eat, the more malnourished they are destined to be.

Overweight people more often than not suffer from gross malnutrition because the nutritional values of the basic foods available to us have been steadily dropping for the last 50 years even as toxic exposures increase.

Obese people tend to eat too many processed white foods with the fiber removed along with many of the vitamins and minerals. Not enough fiber is another common problem with the obese.

Excessive calorie intake is the fast track to leptin resistance. Since it’s hard to eat excess of the so-called “clean” foods, excess calories usually come from junk foods as do magnesium deficiencies.'

'There are many things that you can do to improve your athletic performance. One of the most basic ways to improve your performance is through proper diet and dietary supplements, which can, when used appropriately add rocket fuel to your mitochondria and help reduce acid buildup thus reducing fatigue. When it comes to game day, you want to make sure that your body has the access to all of the nutrients and energy it needs to perform as efficiently as possible and this can be accomplished in the most proficient way with certain key nutrients.'

Disease Mongering for Restless Leg Syndrome

'A
textbook example of disease mongering by the pharmaceutical industry is the case of Requip for Restless Leg Syndrome.'

What is Requip and Mirapex?

'Requip is a powerful drug for Parkinson’s Disease. Requip is also used to treat movement disorders caused by anti-psychotic drugs for mental patients (such as Prolixin and Haldol). Mirapex is similar to Requip.

Adverse side effects of Requip includes compulsive gambling and hypersexual behavior.(1)

Magnesiun Deficiency Causes Restless Legs

Magnesiun deficiency causes muscle cramps at night and is the most common cause of Restless Leg Syndrome. (2) Sixty Eight Per Cent (68%) of Americans are Magnesium deficient, according to the USDA Agricultural Research Service.(3) Restless Leg Syndrome, or leg muscle cramping during sleep is not a reason for powerful Parkinson's drugs. Inexpensive magnesium supplementation usually resolves the problem. Using a drug like Requip instead of supplementing for magnesium deficiency is the height of lunacy, and would be comical if it wasn't tragic. This is typical drug mongering indicative of a broken medical system.'

How to destroy Children’s Lives

When we eat or give to our children white rice, white
bread
, white sugar or totally white salt it puts an absolute
demand that we supplement with magnesium and other minerals.

By Mark Sircus, Ac., OMD

'One hardly needs to have a magnesium test if patient’s diet consists of any of the prominent white processed foods. White rice, white sugar, white bread and white pasta are white because they are stripped of their mineral, vitamin and fiber content. These are actually poisonous foods because of the consequences of them starving us of magnesium but it will be thousands of years before scientists and medical officials wake up to that fact.'

Image

'When consumed these foods and thousands of processed foods on the supermarket shelves, which are made with white sugar and white flour, demand that we supplement with magnesium or we are destined, without doubt, to breakdown and get sick. En mass we have sold out our health to a type of civilization that poisons its water and food and deprives the public of basic nutrition requirements. Yes we can eat these foods with less stress on bodies if we supplement heavily with lost vitamins and minerals but there is no way to make up lost fiber; and billions of people around the world cannot afford supplements.'
